A Little Spring in a Box – Flower Pot Gift Box

🌸 A Little Spring in a Box – Flower Pot Gift Box

This was one of those projects that came from a craving for spring — right in the middle of winter ❄️➡️🌷

I was trying to find fun ways to make layered flowers with paper, and ended up going all-in on this little flower pot gift box. I used super thick cardstock (oops πŸ˜…), which made the first flower way more work than expected — it took me two hours just to get it right!

But after that, the rest of the flowers came together faster, and I ended up loving the final look. Bright, cheerful, and a little reminder that spring always shows up eventually.

I think I want to revisit this idea again soon — maybe with lighter paper and some pastel tones!

A Little Lemon Goose Magic at Work πŸ‹

πŸ‹ The Story Behind the Lemon Goose

Some days at work, I get to create the most random and cheerful things — like today’s adventure: the Lemon Goose. πŸ‹

So this kit has a slightly ridiculous — but completely adorable — backstory.

A while ago, my boss got an email asking if we could create a scrapbook kit themed around a porch goose. (If you’ve never heard of it — you're not alone. We hadn't either!) Apparently, it’s a Southern thing where people have a goose statue on their front porch that they dress up for the seasons. Amazing, right?

We laughed about it and tucked the idea away… until I was browsing Pinterest and came across the cutest little goose in bright yellow rain boots, holding a lemon. πŸ‹πŸ§‘ I immediately jumped on the idea and started designing a lemonade themed page — complete with yellow and pink lemonade glasses, a sweet summery color scheme, and of course the phrase:
“Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy”.

At first, I wasn’t sure if the boots really made sense with the lemonade theme. But when I showed the screenshot to my boss, she said, “It absolutely needs the boots.” πŸ˜‚ And that’s how this Lemon Goose Scrapbook Layout was born.

I used my favorite yellow papers and experimented with some new layering techniques I’ve been wanting to try at home (the hearts on the boots) . It turned out way cuter than I expected — and it made a few people laugh, which is always a win.

I’ll update this post Friday with a finished photo of the kit, but in the meantime, here’s the video I made while working on it:

I’m trying to post more regularly here again — so if you’re into behind-the-scenes craft content, bits of everyday life, and fun digital downloads, stick around. I’ll be sharing more soon!

This Banner Is Kind of a Big Dill

This Banner Is Kind of a Big Dill: A Silly Craft with Serious Attitude

I didn’t mean to jump on the pickle trend… but here we are.

What began as a goofy idea turned into one of my favorite banner crafts yet — complete with sunglasses, sass, and just the right amount of salty attitude. I used my Silhouette to bring it to life, and now you can make your own pickle posse, too.

πŸ₯’ The Crafting Process

This banner was cut completely on my Silhouette machine using a custom SVG. It includes layered pickles (with shades, of course), funny little sayings, and even optional extras for you to personalize your own.

Each pickle is layered with tape to give it that extra pop — literally and visually — and it all strings together into a banner that makes people stop and laugh. Whether you hang it at a party, in your kitchen, or at your craft booth, it’s guaranteed to start conversations. (And maybe some cravings.)

✂️ What’s Included

You can grab the SVG/PDF set here at Jens_Additions

Inside, you'll get:

  • All layered pickle parts

  • Compatible for Silhouette and Cricut (or cut by hand!)

No guesswork. No centimeter-to-inch drama. Just download, cut, and get crafting.

πŸ’‘ Tips for Cutting + Assembly

  • Use medium-weight cardstock for best results

  • I recommend foam dots or tape between the layers for that 3D look

  • You can scale the pickles up or down depending on your space

  • Don’t forget to match your string or twine to the color vibe

πŸ˜… Behind the Scenes

Confession: I spent more time trying to edit a video of this than I did making the banner itself. I’ve been trying to teach myself Canva and CapCut, and it’s a process. But I’m proud of how it turned out — even if I felt like the only one without a YouTube channel for a hot minute πŸ˜‚

Follow me on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Pinterest for more paper crafts, scrapbook pages, and yes... possibly more pickle-related things in the future. (What can I say? They have personality.) I'm still working on my You Tube Channel, but it will be up soon enough πŸ˜‚

Guess Who’s Back (with Something New!)

THERE IS NO WRONG WAY TO MAKE THINGS PRETTY

Creativity is all about finding joy in the process, not just the end result. Whether you're layering colors, piecing together patterns, or experimenting with a new design, each step is a chance to play and discover. Sometimes the messiest moments spark the most beautiful ideas! Here, we celebrate imperfection, experimentation, and the sheer happiness of making something uniquely yours. After all, crafting isn’t just about the product—it’s about the memories and magic made along the way

Hey there, Creative Friends!

It’s been a while, but I’m so excited to be back and sharing what I love with you. If you’ve followed my blog in the past, you know I’ve always enjoyed making paper crafts and scrapbooking. But now, I’m taking things in a new direction—one that’s all about digital creativity!

I’ve been working on creating instant downloads, like scrapbook pages you can customize with your own photos, blank patterned papers, and templates you can use to craft your own beautiful projects. My goal is to make it easy and fun for you to add a personal touch to your memories and creations.

This is a new adventure for me, and I’m so excited to see where it leads. I hope you’ll join me on this journey and find something here that inspires you. Let’s make something beautiful together!

Stay tuned—there’s so much more to come

https://www.facebook.com/reel/719307520109306

So I had the opportunity to do a Holiday Craft Fair - It went pretty well if I do say so myself.

I spent about a month working on nothing but Christmas gift ideas - It was so much fun! Sadly, I completely bypassed Halloween in order to have everything finished by November 3rd

I decided to list everything I have left (and then some) on my Facebook Page - so Crossing my fingers here :)

I'll upload pictures and details soon!
